Pretty much the worst thing ever.
Owen started to get congested on Monday. People told me it was teething, but it continued to get worse.
By Wednesday, I got a call from day-care, the poor boy was running a temperature.
When I went to pick him up, I could hear him crying from down the hall.
But he couldn't even cry well, he was so congested.
I trucked him into Walgreen's and preceded to pick up everything anyone had suggested to me.
We ventured home and continued to suck more and more snot from his little nose.
The nasal aspirator is definitely Owen's worst enemy.
Nate stayed home on Thursday and took Owen into the Doctor.
We must have called them three different times before they told us to just bring him in.
Oh first-time parents, I am sure we are annoying.
It's just terrible when the poor little guy can't tell you what's wrong.
I can't imagine what it would be like if we had to face worse than a cold.
We are so blessed to have a healthy baby.
He has rebounded fairly quickly and is smiling again!
He still has congestion and a little cough.
In addition to the humidifier, Nate developed his own system that works a bit better.
Each morning he sits Owen in his highchair and scoots him into the bathroom.
He turns on the shower, gets some good steam going, and closes the door (with the baby inside).
After a few minutes of this and a little saline in the nose, it is amazing what we can get out of this little guy.
I had no idea little boys could be so snotty.
I just wonder what he thinks as he hangs out in the steam filled bathroom.
"My parents are crazy."
