America's Next Top Model?

What happened to him?

He's always too busy playing.
Moving too quickly for this photog's flash.

Not to worry, I'm persistent.
I'll keep clicking, and I'm sure to get a couple keepers.

Homework

Toddler 2 has been very busy.

They've been having theme weeks.

Planets, stars and all things in the sky, seasons, community helpers,
and they've even done toddler yoga, though I'm not sure what the theme was that week.

Owen has picked up a few new signs, knows how to downward dog,  and even had his very first homework assignment.

My mom picked him up that day and told me he had homework...I didn't really believe her.
Who knew they started so young?

We had to go through magazines and find community helpers for a collage.

We had two nights to complete the assignment.

It looks like Owen may have inherited his momma's study habits...
We didn't get started until the second night.

Owen and I picked out the pictures and Nate cut them out.

We've yet to break the news to Owen,
homework won't always be so fun.
 :(

Hungry Man

How does a little boy have enough energy to be on the go go go all day long?

He eats tons.
The saucier, the better.

Go Go Go USA!

We discovered that Nate isn't the only one
in our house obsessed with the Olympics.  O-Man loved them!

Swimming and Running were his faves.
He would sit on the couch, pump his arms back and forth, and yell,
"go go go go go"
as the track stars sprinted around the track.

He was also quite mesmerized with the high divers.

Maybe if baseketball becomes a sport, he'll love that more.

Even I got into the Olympic mania.
I was outvoted by the boys and went on a reality show hiatus for two whole weeks.
I missed the Teen Moms, but loved Gabby and her gymnast crew.

Now that the Olympics are over, Owen is arm-pumping and go go go go-ing whenever he runs, he sees anyone run, or we drive.

Usain might have a little competition in 2016...

Cool Zoo

What do you do when it's been 100+ for way too many days to count?
When a trip to the zoo would be nothing short of miserable?

You find an air-conditioned option.

Hello Cabela's.

The only place to find life-like animals and little girls in camo skirts.
:)

My parents first discovered this little gem with Owen, and he loved it.
They insisted we take him back.

And yes, we are those people who let our child ride illegally.
The little babe who patiently sat in front as we got groceries is long gone.
In fact, I can't remember the last time Owen has gone to the grocery store.
It's better for Dillons and better for us.
O is on the Go.

He loved the camping section.
Poor kid.  Most parents take their children camping.
We take ours to the camping section of the outdoor store.

Our Saturday errand fun took us to Menards next.
Getting supplies for our not so fun weekend project.
(more on that later)

I think I hate Menards as much as Nate hates Target.
We are always there foreeeeeeever.
O and I snagged a bag of snack mix
and relaxed in the lawn furniture section while we waited.

Don't worry, I'm no rebel.
I got permission from the teenage boy working.
He thought we were fine to open the unpurchased snacks.

By the way, pushing the cart is the only other way this boy shops.
So we are also those annoying people moving along at a snails pace.

Oh well, from my experience, people at Menards are in no hurry.
